Oct. 20: Sioux Falls Wall of Notability dedication dinner

Sunny’s Pizzeria is ready to show off its new mural painted by Wyatt Dickson, honoring notable local figures past and present. The artist will be on hand to sign exclusive prints beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday. There will be $3 off large pizzas, $3.50 per can for mystery beers and $1 off tap beers. A social event with the honorees starts at 6:40 p.m.

Oct. 20: Hocus Pocus Charcuterie Class

Glacial Lakes Distillery and Cultivated in Love partner to bring you this timely culinary class. Create Hocus Pocus-inspired charcuterie while enjoying themed cocktails beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday at Glacial Lakes. Click here to learn more.

Oct. 21-22: Junkin’ Market Days

This shopping event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Expo Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. There will be nearly 100 small businesses selling their repurposed, rustic, shabby chic, farmhouse, vintage and one-of-a-kind finds, including clothes, jewelry, furniture, home decor and more. Oct. 22: Toddler fall hike, S’more fun run

Remember when you first discovered fall leaves? Experience that with your toddler from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Tuthill Park, 3500 S. Cliff Ave. This Parks & Recreation Department activity will help little ones and their parents learn about nature through a fall color scavenger hunt while creating a fall nature wreath to take home. And, in the lower portion of Tuthill Park, here’s an event even the least enthusiastic runner will love. Those age 5 and older can come to various stations and earn one essential component of a s’more! At the end of the run, you’ll arrive at a bonfire where you can enjoy your tasty snack. Oct. 22:Happy Hour Halloweekend

It’s the first of three dates for this Halloween-themed bar crawl. The others are Oct. 29 and 31. There will be a bar printed on your ticket, which is where your event will start. Once you arrive at the bar, show your ticket, and someone from organizer Pubcrawls will help with a wristband, giving you access to exclusive drink specials and promotions. Click here to learn more.

Oct. 22-23: Free chrysanthemum show

It’s that time of year — but you’ve not seen any chrysanthemums until you’ve taken in this free show of more than 80 varieties of mums at Homestead Orchard south west of Parker. Stroll through the greenhouse from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. When you’re done, enjoy free coffee and sample some apples. Click here to learn more and for directions.

Oct. 22: Rocky Horror Singalong

The Premiere Playhouse will host a Rocky Horror-inspired singalong at Dada Gastropub, 402 N. Main Ave., from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Watch the movie while playhouse alum and staff lead singalongs to classics such as “Dammit Janet,” “Sweet Transvestite” and “Time Warp.” Bring some cash to tip the performers, with all proceeds going to The Premiere Playhouse.

Oct. 25: Green Networking Event

Join area business leaders, faculty members, nonprofit groups and innovators for a public networking event at Augustana University. Beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, this free event features a talk from Eric Smith, general manager for Americold Sioux Falls, on what sustainability means to the business.
