Summer is in full swing, and calendars are filling up. There’s so much going on in Sioux Falls that it’s hard to keep track of everything. Here are six upcoming events and festivals that you won’t want to miss.
Sioux Falls Independence Day Celebration
Update: The parade and picnic have been canceled. Celebrate America’s independence at the annual Sioux Falls Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 4. A parade will be held downtown in the morning, followed by a free picnic lunch for the first 3,000 people and live music at Levitt at the Falls.
At night, be sure to see the fireworks display at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. And best of all, it’s free!
Eastbank Block Party
Make plans to be at the Eastbank Block Party in downtown Sioux Falls on the first Friday of July and August this summer. The next block party will be Friday, July 5, at 8th & Railroad Center, where there will be live music, games, food and drink vendors and more!

Hot Summer Nites
The W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds will host the annual Hot Summer Nites on July 17, where you can see Corvettes ranging from classic to new-era models. There will be entertainment and food and drink vendors all evening long.
Four Winds Music & Art Festival
Enjoy two days jam-packed with music on multiple stages in downtown Sioux Falls! Four Winds Music & Art Festival, held July 19-20, brings a wide range of artists who are sure to put on a show!

Nyberg’s Ace 7th annual Hot Classics Night
If you’re a fan of classic cars, then you certainly won’t want to miss this! The 7th annual Hot Classics Night brings hundreds of your favorite classic cars to Nyberg’s Ace Downtown on July 27. Walk the streets, and admire these sweet rides, all while listening to bands perform on stage.

85th annual Sioux Empire Fair
The 85th annual Sioux Empire Fair returns to the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds Aug. 2-10. Enjoy games, rides, concerts, all your favorite fair foods and more! This year’s main-stage concert lineup includes Jo Dee Messina with Ashley Wineland, Travis Denning with Conner Smith, Corey Kent with Ashley Cooke, and Flo Rida to name a few.
