Taco, tequila festival coming to Sioux Falls
Tacos, tequila and hip-hop from the ’90s and 2000s will be coming to Sioux Falls with a festival this summer.
The Tacos and Tequila Festival will be Aug. 17 at The Birdcage, home of the Sioux Falls Canaries, from 2 to 11 p.m.
The event will be for those 21 and older and include live performances from hip-hop artists, including Lil Jon, Ginuwine, Chingy, Ying Yang Twins, Petey Pablo, Twista, Mike Jones and DJ Ashton Martin.
Other elements to the event include a showcase of the Midwest’s best taco chefs and hand-crafted margaritas, along with a salsa and queso competition, according to a statement about the event.
Attendees also can expect an eclectic mix of entertainment, from lucha libre wrestling to a chihuahua beauty pageant and an exotic car showcase.
Tickets, including VIP access, are for sale here.
The festival started four years ago in Kansas City and has expanded to Dallas and Milwaukee.
