Jan. 14: Live Art Party
Head to the Full Circle Book Co-op from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday where two artists will have 30 minutes to fill a blank canvas while a DJ plays music. Those in the audience vote anonymously on their favorite piece. The artist with the most votes goes on to the semifinals before two artists go head-to-head in the finale over the next few months. There also will be a Q&A with the artists and the chance to buy their work. This month features Charmaine Wild Soul and Marc Anthony Demme.

Jan. 14-15: Sing-along
Let it gooooo! What’s better than singing along to “Frozen” songs at home? Joining in with a theater filled with fans. The sing-along version of the animated hit will show on the State Theatre screen at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. Get tickets here.

Jan. 16: Peace project
Children age 10 and older can mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a peace project at the Museum of Visual Materials. The craft involves a wooden peace sign with a tie-dye center and affirming words of the designer’s choice. Cost is $7. It runs from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Monday at 500 N. Main Ave.

Jan. 17: Mommy & Me Time
