Nov. 23: Thanksgiving Eve Party

The El Riad Shrine Clowns will host a Thanksgiving Eve Party from 4 to 11:45 p.m. Wednesday at the El Riad Shrine, 510 S. Phillips Ave. Sugar Daddy will perform, drinks for all ages will be served, and food is available until it’s gone. To reserve a table, call Matt Leedom at 605-366-2857.

Nov. 25: Parade of Lights

Bundle up Friday, and head to downtown Sioux Falls for the 30th annual Parade of Lights. It will begin at 7:30 p.m. Awards in six categories are presented at an after-party at the Holiday Inn City Centre.

It’s the fourth Saturday of the month, so it’s time for poets and poetry lovers to gather at Full Circle Book Co-op, 123 W. 10th St. Open-mic poetry will be shared from 8 to 10 p.m.

Nov. 26: Selfie Saturday

Nov. 26: Jingle Bell Run

Jingle-jangle while you run. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation. Walkers and runners dress up in holiday gear before setting out on the route. It runs — pun intended — from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Fawick Park, 200 S. Second Ave.
