Feb. 20: Pop-up shop
Falls Overlook Cafe by Stensland is hosting a boutique pop-up shop from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 20. Shop clothing and accessories from Beechwood Boutique and Willow & Roan Boutique. The cafe at Falls Park will be selling specialty menu items that day, and wine and beer will be available.
Feb. 20: Family Gras
A free, family-friend Mardi Gras celebration will be held at the Washington Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 20.

The traditional Mardi Gras staples from beads to beignets will be there, along with musician Phil Baker, who will lead a kids parade.
Activities include:
- Decorating eye masks and noise makers and creating Mardi Gras slime.
- A balloon drop.
- Guest appearances by Pavilion mascot Radley Rex and princesses like Little Mermaid, Ice Queen, Ice Princess and Tinker Fairy.
- Interactive experiences with balloon enthusiast Mr. Twister and magician Travis Nye.
The movie “American’s Musical Journey” narrated by Morgan Freeman will be shown at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. in the Wells Fargo CineDome with paid museum admission or free with membership.
Face masks are required. The activities are spread out in the building to create plenty of space for attendees to socially distance.
Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Feb. 20: Barks and Brews
The Sioux Falls Arena will turn into the city’s largest indoor dog park from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 20. Bring your dog, bring a donation to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society and receive a free drink ticket while your dog joins the fun. You also can shop several area pet-friendly vendors. Admission is free.

Feb. 20: Date night magic show
Magician Travis Nye, owner of Spellbound Magic Shop, is putting on an interactive magic show for a limited number of couples in the shop’s intimate parlor theater. Enjoy dessert and a nonalcoholic beverage with your ticket. The show runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Get tickets here.
Feb. 21: Indian taco challenge
Watch as challengers attempt to eat a 5-pound Indian taco from Watecha Bowl in 25 minutes or less. The food truck will be at Covert Artisan Ales & Cellars at 434 E. Eighth St. for the 2 p.m. challenge. Enjoy food from the truck and a beer from the taproom.

Feb. 23: Harry Potter trivia
Show your knowledge of all things Harry Potter with a trivia night at The Willows, the bar and restaurant at Willow Run Golf Course. The fun starts at 6 p.m. Feb. 23. Talk about a enjoyable way to end your workday and break up the week! Bonus: It’s Burger Tuesday, and you’ll get $3 off burger baskets.
