4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Pan-sizzled shrimp is back on the menu at Pancheros until mid-April. You can choose the sweet and zesty shrimp as the protein for any entree, including tacos. It’s shown here with lettuce, cheese, salsa and cilantro lime vinaigrette. You also can add sautéed veggies, jalapenos and sour cream for no extra charge.

If you’re looking for something fresh, Noodles & Company has a new salad. The Mexican Street Corn Salad has a Tuscan greens and kale mix topped with feta, roasted corn, tomato, avocado, cilantro, chipotle cheddar tortilla strips and cotija dressing. The suggested added protein is grilled chicken but you can add your choice.

Sanaa’s 8th Street Gourmet just started selling its falafel mixture for customers to make at home. Owner Sanaa Abourezk said she bakes the patties instead of frying them and thinks they turn out even better in an air fryer.

Chef Ellen is taking Girl Scout cookies and using them to create themed cheesecakes. Different cookies will appear throughout the month and the prepared-meal business in a retail center near 69th and Western. The kickoff features the Adventureful-inspired Brownie Bottom Salted Caramel Cheesecake, with a thick brownie crust, creamy caramel cheesecake and topped with chocolate drizzle, a hint of sea salt and, of course, the new cookie in this year’s Girl Scout lineup. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the cheesecakes go to local Scouts. Get it by the slice or order an entire cake.
