4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Here’s a new taco to try this month at Dahlia Kitchen + Bar. Birria Tacos are filled with beef birria, pickled red onion, fried Fresno peppers and a melted Oaxaca cheese blend, with birria broth for dipping.

Fair-food season is here, and The Dive’s sandwich of the month is an elevated take on a classic. The Honey Sriracha Pork Tenderloin is a platter-sized, hand-breaded, fried tenderloin topped with  a drizzle of sriracha and honey pineapple slaw. It’s also available with just onions and pickles.

For another spicy sandwich, try the Island Fire Dancer Burger at Monks Ale House. Two smashed Certified Angus Beef patties are topped with New School American cheese, Compart ham, grilled pineapple, pickled jalapenos and chipotle aioli on a Big Marty roll.

The featured dessert for August at Squealer’s Smoke Shack in Tea is a warm cinnamon and sugar churro with ice cream and a choice of chocolate, caramel or strawberry sauce.
