4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Panera Bread has a new breakfast sandwich. The name — Ham, Egg & Cheese on a Cinnamon Crunch Bagel — pretty much says it all. It’s Black Forest ham, scrambled egg, aged white cheddar, salt and pepper on a toasted bagel.

Tomato season doesn’t last long, so enjoy it while you can. This year’s version of the Heirloom Tomato Salad at Bread & Circus Sandwich Kitchen features local tomatoes, charred local corn, shaved Walla Walla onions, burrata, cilantro chimichurri and microgreens.

The Smoked Culture BBQ & Brews has added a chicken sandwich to the menu at the new restaurant at 49th and Westport. The Chico Chicken is a thigh marinated in pickled jalapeno and carrot brine. It’s seasoned with Southwestern spices and smoked. The thigh goes on a toasted bun topped with melted cheddar and pickled jalapenos and carrots, drizzled with Mexican crema and sprinkled with cotija.

CNC Food Factory in the Avera Fitness Center is embracing fall flavors with the return of Eve’s Temptation. The baked doughnut is filled with chunks of apple and butterscotch chips, topped with granola and a caramel drizzle. A gluten-free version is available too.
