4 new things to eat this week

A food truck that’s new this season has a unique item that’s worth seeking out. Roscoe’s Kitchen serves Cheeto Balls, which are a mixture of ground beef, rice, cheese, peppers and onions rolled in Flamin’ Hot Cheetos crumbs and fried. They’re served with nacho cheese sauce. New features for summer at Blarney Stone Pub include the Balsamic Steak Salad. Fresh greens are topped with seasoned sirloin tips, diced tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles, Parmesan cheese, red onions, fried onion strings, Caesar dressing and balsamic glaze. It’s also available as a wrap.

With summer veggies coming to market, Nunzio’s Pizza has created the Summer Veggie Pie. The pizza crust is topped with San Marzano tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, garlic scapes, chanterelles, caramelized zucchini and squash blossoms. The pizzeria is part of Nunzio’s Food Hall at Harvester Kitchen by Bryan.

Granite City Food & Brewery honors a summertime staple with one of the desserts on its Sizzlin’ Summer Specials menu. The Toasted S’mores Sundae starts with a graham cracker crust, chocolate cremeux, vanilla ice cream and chocolate chips. Marshmallow fluff over the ice cream is toasted for that signature s’mores flavor.
