4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Crisp & Green opened earlier this month on the east side of the Western Mall, offering customized salads and grain bowls. If you don’t want to make all the decisions, try the new Seoul Bowl. The vegan dish is made with brown rice, spinach, roasted tofu, roasted mushrooms, cucumber, daikon radish, napa cabbage, carrot, cilantro and spicy bibimbap sauce. It’s finished off with sesame seeds and Korean chile cashew dressing. For a nonvegan option, substitute chicken for the tofu.

Sunny’s Pizzeria has five new featured pizzas. This one sounds intriguing: “Bloody Magnificence is a bloody mary-inspired pizza that’s equal parts salty, savory and spicy,” owner Jon Oppold said. It is prepared utilizing our signature spicy marinara sauce topped with fresh, local mozzarella cheese from Stensland Family Farms, bacon, celery, tomatoes, pickles, green olives, a buffalo sauce drizzle and just a dash of celery salt to pull all the flavors together. And — as a bonus — adults 21 and over get a 5-ounce beer chaser with it if they are dining in!”

Kaladi’s Bistro has new summer features, including this Shrimp Po Barto. For a suggested pairing, try it with the seasonal  pink lemonade moscato. 

How do you make a fresh raised doughnut even better? Flyboy Donuts has started making chocolate yeast-raised doughnuts. They’re available Friday through Sunday at all four locations.
