4 new things to eat this week

Every year as locally grown tomatoes are ready for harvest, Bread & Circus Sandwich Kitchen features an Heirloom Tomato Salad. This season’s version features heirloom tomatoes, charred local sweet corn, shaved local fennel, goat cheese, fresh mint and cardamom yogurt. It’s available “until the tomatoes are done.”

Stop into R Wine Bar & Kitchen for this fresh lunch feature for August. The Bessie salad is spring mix with grapefruit segments, cucumber, red onion, heirloom cherry tomatoes and 6 ounces of sirloin steak, all tossed in a blood orange vinaigrette.

Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, more commonly known as Boston’s Pizza, returned this month to Sioux Falls with a location in the Ramada Waterpark at West and Russell.  Boston’s has an extensive menu will lots of things to try, but our pick is a pizza. The Chicken, Spinach & Artichoke Pizza features grilled chicken with a house-made spinach and artichoke mix with mozzarella.

OK, these aren’t new, and you can’t eat them this week, but this is a signature local treat worth celebrating and now is when you should order them. Oh My Cupcakes is celebrating its 15th anniversary Aug. 21 with a mini dozen cupcakes for $15. Each mini dozen will include a random assortment of top flavors.
