4 new things to eat this week

Session Ale Works opened in early May, but it wasn’t licensed to sell beer until last week. We’ve been waiting for that to share a pick, and you’ll want to try the brick-oven pizza. Enjoy a specialty pie, or build you own, and pair it with one of 27 craft beers on tap.

Summertime is salad time, and T.C.’s Referee Sports Bar & Grill has a fresh option on its seasonal special menu. The Mediterranean Shrimp Salad has grilled garlic herb shrimp, house mixed greens, a black rice and quinoa blend, smoked feta, kalamata olives, red onion and roma tomatoes with a house-made Italian dressing.

Here’s another salad to try. This one is on the new Asian-inspired featured menu at 22Ten Kitchen Cocktails. The Thai Noodle Salad has cabbage, carrots, rice noodles, sesame oil, a chopped spring roll, mandarin oranges, cashews and sesame seeds with a peanut vinaigrette. Want some protein? Add chicken, shrimp or salmon for an extra charge.

Poppy’s Popcorn Co. is more than just plain, cheddar and caramel popcorn. The gourmet popcorn shop is known for special flavors, and there’s a new one just released this week: Cheddar Ranch.
