Check out these beer collabs just in time for patio season

Beer is good. Local beer is better. Local beer teaming up with local organizations? Well, that has all the ingredients to be even better yet.

We found some recent collaborations between Sioux Falls breweries and local organizations just in time for patio season.

Here’s a look at some collabs you won’t want to miss:

Severance Brewing and the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society

Severance and the humane society are teaming up on a Mango Blonde Ale for the summer, and they’re looking for community help to name it.

It’s a freewill donation to enter your name suggestion, with a $5 minimum, and the winner will get $25 to spend at Severance along with a pet basket from the humane society.

Plus, a portion of sales will be donated to help the animals.

Fernson Brewing and the Pink Boots Society

The Pink Boots Society is a national group for women in the brewing industry, and the South Dakota chapter has teamed up with Fernson for a special brew.

The Pink Boots Hard Seltzer, which is similar to Fernson’s Skip Day seltzers, is flavored with grapefruit and Thai basil. The real fruit gives it a bright red color. It’s available at the downtown taproom while supplies last.

The Pink Boots Society is also doing a tap takeover at Monks today, April 19, with women-made beers from brewers across the state.

Remedy Brewing and Friends of the Big Sioux River

Drinking local doesn’t get any more local than this. Remedy brewed a Kolsch using water from the Big Sioux River – very well-cleaned and filtered.

Big Sioux Brew launches Saturday, April 24, as part of Friends of the Big Sioux River’s Earth Day events. It’ll be available on tap and in custom-labeled crowlers.

WoodGrain Brewing and ‘O’ So Good

Satisfy your hunger and thirst at the Beer Dinner on Tuesday, April 20, at “O” So Good in Garretson. The restaurant, recently featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” is teaming up with WoodGrain for a four-course meal paired with local brews.
