4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

The new North End Bakery & Deli in downtown’s Jones421 Building bakes sourdough bread that it sells by the loaf and uses for its breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The Eggs Benedip features English muffin bread with prosciutto, folded cheesy eggs and collard greens sauteed in butter and white wine. It comes with a side of lemony tarragon bearnaise sauce.

Try this one for a limited time at The Dive: The restaurant’s Reuben sandwich combines smoked corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and a housemade Thousand Island dressing.

You won’t have to look far to find fish tacos on a menu anymore, and 22Ten Kitchen Cocktails has a flavorful version on its Summer Sensations features. Baja Tacos tuck Summer Shandy-battered bluegill in flour tortillas with a sweet pepper slaw, mango pico and chipotle crema. They’re served with sweet potato tortilla chips.

Swing out to Tea this weekend for Teapot Days, and stop at Squealer’s Smoke Shack to try the dessert of the month: Strawberry Shortcake. Vanilla ice cream is topped with angle food cake, fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
