4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

The new food truck Taqueria Gonzalez has a few menu items you might not find anywhere else in Sioux Falls. Vampiritos, or little vampires, start with a lightly fried tortilla that’s topped with cheese, your choice of meat, guacamole, onions and cilantro. The food truck is based in the parking lot of Food-N-Fuel at Ninth and Kiwanis and is open Tuesday through Sunday.

Tailgators Grill & Bar in Brandon has taken a traditional BLT and turned it into a BLATT on its featured menu for July. The sandwich features bourbon bacon, lettuce, avocado, turkey and tomato on toasted sweet wheat bread. It’s served with your choice of side.

Executive chef Michael Carpentier joined The Treasury earlier this year and sparked the food and cocktail lounge’s latest menu that will be changing soon as the harvest season progresses. The new pork belly burnt ends are braised and seared with Romesco sauce. They’re served with a corn salad and pickled mustard seeds.

Looking for a divine dessert? Stop by within a week or so before it disappears to try the special Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake at All Day Cafe.
