4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

The new Rivage Oak Kitchen at Cherapa Place offers an elevated take on a South Dakota bar and grill classic. The restaurant’s Lamb Chislic small plate features Niman Ranch lamb, butter, truffle salt, truffle powder, leek soubise and watercress.

Big Sioux Burger’s burger of the month for October has a spicy tie to Halloween. The Ghost Burger is two smash patties topped with bacon onion jam, ghost pepper cheese, spicy chipotle aioli and fresh jalapenos.

The Walleye Piccata at Chef Lance’s on Phillips was so popular on the September featured menu that it earned a spot on the regular menu. Two 6-ounce walleye filets are breaded and pan-fried, and then topped with a light lemon caper butter. The filets are served with Yukon mashed potatoes. The dish is gluten-free.

Every Saturday morning, Look’s Bakehouse at Look’s Marketplace sells doughnuts. New fall flavors have arrived, and our pick is the Maritozzi. It’s a cinnamon sugar doughnut filled with vanilla pastry cream and topped with caramel.
