4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

There’s a new spot to grab lunch downtown. R Wine Bar & Kitchen is serving salads, paninis, pastas and desserts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday  through Saturday. The Chicken Pesto Panino has pesto, mayo, chicken, red onion and havarti cheese. It’s served with your choice of fresh fruit or kettle chips. Get a half-sandwich or a whole. Gluten-free bread is available.

WoodGrain Brewing Co. has started serving fresh Sunny’s Pizzeria pizzas baked on-site. There are five flavors, including two that are exclusive to WoodGrain: Pepper Brooks and Chicken Bacon Ranch. Our pick is the vegetarian Pepper Brooks with ranch, pepperjack cheese, green pepper, banana pepper, jalapeno and Italian seasoning. 

Seafood Boils, which were an occasional special at Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen, are available now three days a week. The boil features a pound of crab, a half-pound of Gulf shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage and a seafood garlic butter sauce. They’re served from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Looking for an easier way to eat a cupcake? During the summer, Oh My Cupcakes introduced Cupcake Parfaits on its “Mobile Experience” trailer at events, and now they’re available daily in the two stores. The treat is layers of cake, buttercream frosting and “little extra surprises.” Customers will find a half-dozen options daily, with flavors that rotate. The “cupcake ninjas” make a limited amount, so you may want to call ahead to check availability.
