Nov. 15: Free music Friday

It’s free music Fridays at DaDa Gastropub from 6 to 8 p.m. This Friday’s performer is Johnny Friedow. The show is open to all ages, and there is full dinner and drink service throughout. Reservations are encouraged. Upcoming performances include Victor Faini and Taylor Riley on Nov. 22, Link West on Dec. 6 and Charlie Brown Christmas – reservations only – Dec. 13.

Nov. 15: Get basted

The band has sugar in its name, but Sugardaddy is giving music lovers a chance to pour some gravy on it at the Turkey Month Bash at The Thirsty Duck, 945 S. Marion Road. They promise mad fun will begin at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Nov. 16: Book sale

Prepare for your winter reading by attending the REACH Literacy Fall Bag Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Fill a tote bag with books for $25, or bring two canned goods to donate to Feeding South Dakota and get $5 off. Bring in food anytime through Saturday to redeem your coupon. REACH is on the south side of the Western Mall at 2101 W. 41st St. Bring a tote bag or they’ll supply you with one.

Nov. 16: Wreath-making class

Ready to start changing your holiday decorations? Farmhouse Market is offering a gingerbread-house wreath class at 10 a.m. Saturday. First you make the gingerbread houses, then you add bottle-brush trees. Cost is $35 per person. Visit the store or call 605-366-9789 to register.

Nov. 19: Country music

Yee and haw! The Clay Creek Deaf Cowboy Band, a 2013 South Dakota Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, will perform from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Center for Active Generations, 2300 W. 46th St.
