The Premiere Playhouse will offer several well-known shows for its 2024-25 season, with a focus on female narratives and empowerment.

The nonprofit community-based theater and education organization will open the new season Sept. 26-Oct. 6 with “Freaky Friday,” Disney’s musical adaptation of the novel and film franchise.

The holiday season will bring The Premiere Playhouse’s fourth annual large-scale holiday production of Crispin Whittell’s “A Christmas Carol,” which runs Dec. 13-21.

The William Shakespeare comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will run March 20-30, 2025.

And the season will close with country music superstar Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5,” running June 12-22.

There are a variety of season ticket packages, and student rates will be offered for the first time.

Current season subscribers will be sent a code via email to use for renewing subscriptions online. Beginning April 11, Season 22 main stage subscriptions are available to the public online, over the phone and in person. On that date, a direct link will be available on the playhouse’s subscriptions page with full details.

The season also will include education productions for kids and expanded programs with the second annual Passion Projects performance, community outreach events and free and low-cost classes.

The final two productions of the current season are Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!,” running April 11-21 and “Hair,” from June 13-23, both performing at the Orpheum Theater.
