New MarketBrew beer to raise funds for animal rescue groups
Does your day at the office include helping brew a new beer for a great cause?
It does if you’re part of MarketBeat, a Sioux Falls-based financial media company that’s helping drive financial support for animals in need with its new MarketBrew beer.
Sound a little familiar?
This is the same company that branded a MarketBeat burger in partnership with Chef Lance’s on Phillips as part of the Downtown Burger Battle and then donated $1 for every burger sold at every restaurant to the nonprofit Call to Freedom.
In this new collaboration with Remedy Brewing Co., the MarketBeat team looked for ways to apply the successful efforts that raised $31,000 for Call to Freedom to help Remedyâs nonprofit partners, said Matt Paulson, MarketBeat founder and CEO.
âThe pandemic impacted many organizations, but it took a unique toll on the nonprofit sector and their ability to raise funds,â Paulson said. âKnowing what made our efforts successful for Call to Freedom, taking action on behalf of local dog rescues was an easy decision. MarketBrew will be another fun and memorable initiative for us to raise funds and awareness for organizations in need.â
MarketBeat will donate $1 for every can and draft of the limited run hoppy wheat ale made in collaboration with Remedy. Funds raised will benefit B-Squad Dog Rescue and Sioux Empire Pit Rescue.
MarketBrew will be available May 4, and the donation will be applied through May 31, while supplies last.
The support couldnât come at a better time. The pandemic prevented B-Squad from holding the fundraising events that have supported its operation previously, director Mandi Haase said.
âWhile more people were looking to welcome dogs into their homes during the pandemic, we fell short on donations,â Haase said. âAs a volunteer-based rescue, we operate strictly off of adoption fees and private donations. Even though the need increased, our ability to help those dogs decreased due to funding.â
You’ll be hearing a lot more about this soon too.
To promote MarketBrew, MarketBeat and Remedy have produced a 30-second commercial airing on local television stations. MarketBeat also will be promoting the collaboration with digital billboards and a social media marketing campaign.
The collaboration beer features locally sourced Cascade hops from Herds to Hops. In addition to helping animal rescue organizations, the limited edition brew will be a popular one, said Jason Davenport, Remedy’s chief operating officer.
âWe crafted MarketBrew to appeal to everyone,â Davenport said. âFrom hopheads like myself to the occasional beer adventurist, everyone will love this hoppy wheat ale. With that said, I also think it will sell out, and that everyone should stock up when they find it.â
MarketBrew will be available for purchase at a growing list of locations, including Hy-Vee, JJâs Wine, Spirits & Cigars and Booze Boys. Learn more about the collaboration beer at trymarketbrew.com.
