4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Paramount Studio Cocktails & Food reopens Thursday after closing temporarily last year. The space has been redesigned, and the full Minervas menu will be available, along with new offerings during happy hour. Our pick is Tuna Tartare, which is made with yellow fin tuna, crispy wontons, cucumbers, sesame, fried shallots, sriracha soy, creamed avocado, wasabi, teriyaki sauce and sushi rice. Happy hour runs from 4 to 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to close Thursday through Saturday.

The Smoked Culture BBQ & Brews is putting its pulled pork to good use in another form. The new Smashadilla is a crispy, cheese-crusted tortilla packed with pulled pork, adobo barbecue sauce, lettuce, pico de gallo and cotija.

New Salad Stuffers at Panera Bread can be made with any salad on the menu. The salad is tucked inside the new Italian Stuffer Roll.

Try a Guatemalan-style hot dog, which is called a shuco, at the new brick-and-mortar location for Sabores 502. The food truck, which has been operating in Sioux Falls since 2019, can be found Tuesday through Sunday at 804 W. 11th St. — unless it’s booked for an event. Customers order inside the building, and the food is prepared on the truck, which is stationed in the back parking lot. The shuco features a beef hot dog with cabbage, avocado sauce, mayo, ketchup, mustard and picamas, which is a mild sauce.
