Apartments on the Move: New buildings opening in time for spring

From a building that gives a new view of downtown to one opening in northwest Sioux Falls, the weeks ahead will offer plenty of options if you’re looking for a new place to live.

Our latest edition of Apartments on the Move takes you inside more than a dozen places that are ready or almost ready for you to move in this spring.

Downtown, the One2 has opened, bringing 175 apartments to 205 E. 12th St.

“It’s just a different spot in downtown Sioux Falls. The neighborhood vibe is very cool,” said Donya Hoscheid, regional sales manager with Lloyd Cos.

The first residents “love it,” she continued. “They love being in the building. They love this part of downtown. It’s easily accessible to a lot of things. We’re just getting open, so we do have different options right now for people to come and shop.”

The building’s studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom lofts all include a parking space, plus the One2 offers a wide range of amenities, including a unique raised courtyard perfect for pets.

That’s far from the only new property open for spring.

In northwest Sioux Falls, Yukon at Benson is adding to its mix of apartment and townhome-style options at 3780 N. Yukon Ave.

The first residents “just absolutely love the really homey, bright feel to the townhomes in all our floor plans,” property manager Sean Wiltgen said. “And they love the location, just a few minutes from interstates 29 and 90, so it’s really easy to get around from here.”

That community will continue to build and open spaces throughout the year. The amenities are done already and include a large clubhouse and outdoor pool.
