Apartment of the Week: Windsor Heights

A popular apartment community not far from The Empire Mall has a few openings now and a few more coming.

Windsor Heights offers a mix of traditional and town home-style apartments, including many that are recently renovated.

“We’re in the process of renovating building by building, so you’re going to find a lot of updates here and more to come,” property manager J.D. Miller said.

There’s currently a two-bedroom and a three-bedroom apartment available, with another three-bedroom and two one-bedroom apartments becoming available in January. And in early February, there will be a two-bedroom town home available.

The location

Windsor Heights is located at 4908 W. St. James Drive, which is south of 49th Street and west of Interstate 29, making it convenient to tons of jobs and things to do.

“People love the location. We’re set in the middle of a residential neighborhood, which is nice, so you’re not on a really busy intersection, but at the same point you’re really close to a lot of shopping and restaurants,” Miller said. “The mall and Target are just up the street.”

The apartments

You’ll find a mix of traditional and town home-style apartments at Windsor Heights.

“The apartments stand out for their size,” Miller said. “They’re very large. A one-bedroom is 750 square feet, and a two-bedroom is 1,040, so you definitely get a lot of space for the cost.”

The town home-style apartments have a washer-dryer in them.

Windsor Heights residents also will find apartments with large closets and many that feature patios or balconies.

The amenities

Residents at Windsor Heights enjoy an outdoor pool from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Plus, there’s a community room that can be reserved that includes a projector, and you easily can fit in a workout at the fitness center.

Bonus: Your pet will feel right at home too.

“We’re pet-friendly without breed restrictions, and we were one of the first to do it,” Miller said.
