Restaurant Roundup: New Sunday brunch, Raising Cane’s demo, pizza nights
Highball is partnering with the food truck Maple Drip to offer brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every other Sunday through July. The first event was May 24, so the next one will be June 7. Kids are welcome. The menu includes Maple Drip’s signature egg bake burritos and sandwiches, breakfast skillets, and biscuits and gravy with hash browns and bacon. A limited drink menu for the adults will be available: bloody mary, mimosa, Aperol spritz, beer and wine.

Here’s what the future site of Raising Cane’s looked like on May 19. The David’s Bridal building at 4004 W. 41st St. was a pile of rubble that was being hauled away. The week before, the fast-casual chain confirmed that it was coming to Sioux Falls. Construction is scheduled to start in June, with an opening either later this year or early next year. And yes, that’s Chick-fil-A across the street.

Pizza Nights and Bingo + Pizza events are back for the season, weather permitting, at The Good Earth Farm near Lennox. Pizza Nights are offered from 4 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Sundays. Ticket pricing is new this year. For those 13 and older, a $26 ticket is good for admission, a 12-inch pizza, ice cream and beer or soda. For kids 6-12, a $16 ticket includes admission, a 10-inch pizza, ice cream and a drink. For anyone 6 and older who doesn’t want a pizza, tickets are $10 and include admission, ice cream and a drink. The wood-fired pizza menu changes weekly. Dairy-free cheese is an option, and a gluten-free crust is available when ordered in advance. The opening weekend menu was Sausage Supreme, Fig & Arugula, Asparagus & Mushroom, Mexican Street Corn, Classic Cheese and Turkey Pepperoni. In addition, Jeff’s Good Beer Cart features craft beers for an additional price.

Bingo nights at The Good Earth Farm are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays. Bingo is $20 for 10 cards, and 10 games will be played. The farm opens at 5 p.m., and bingo begins at 6. Pizzas are $21 for adults and $16 for kids, and guests are encouraged to reserve a crust in advance so there’s enough dough. Limited tickets are available for all events, so people are encouraged to buy them online in advance. Find each week’s menu on Facebook.
