4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Deciding what to try for a first visit to the new Over Easy franchise restaurant at Dawley Farm Village could be difficult. An easy pick might be Banana Nut French Toast, which is from the “seen on TV” section. The original restaurant in Phoenix was featured on “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” way back in 2009. French toast slices are topped with banana, pecans and a caramel drizzle.

The new seasonal features at Crave American Kitchen & Sushi Bar include the starter Potstickers. They’re filled with chicken, garlic, ginger, wasabi pesto and ginger soy sauce.

Totally Rad Pizza from Fernson Brewing Co. opened last week in the Harvester Building along Sixth Street east of Phillips Ave. While the restaurant offers more than pizza, it’s a safe bet that it’s the first thing you should try. There are 11 specialty pizzas and a build-your-own option, which is what’s shown here with Ezzo pepperoni, Calabrian sausage, mozzarella, red onion, pickled chiles and fresh basil. Get it with a Fernson craft beer or a cocktail featuring one of the liquors from its distillery. Shown is the Dillmatic with Fernson gin, dill, dandelion, cucumber, lemon and soda.

Sizzlin’ Summer Specials at Granite City Food & Brewery have an island vibe. Our pick, the Hang Ten Chicken Sandwich, is a crispy piece of coconut-battered chicken with coconut slaw, pepper jack cheese, avocado, toasted coconut and a sweet and spicy glaze on a brioche bun. It comes with a classic side.
