4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig int o the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Umami Cafe & Catering has a few new menu items available through January. Our pick is the chicken lo mein. Noodles and chicken are paired with napa cabbage, onion, celery, carrot, peppers, roasted garlic, mushrooms, bean sprouts, bamboo, water chestnuts, green onion and sauce. The dish is topped with cilantro and black sesame seeds. A gluten-free option is made with rice noodles and tamari soy sauce. Order it while the cafe in Signature Flight Support is open, or snag one out of the grab-and-go cooler to reheat.

Everywhere you look, there’s a new burger to try this month. Tea doesn’t have a burger battle competition, but residents and visitors aren’t left out. Squealer’s Smoke Shack has The Buffaloaded Burger. It’s a one-third-pound, locally sourced bison burger on a toasted ciabatta bun with provolone, smoked peppered bacon, homemade “tatonka-donk” sauce, with lettuce, tomato and onion. It comes with a side.

Papa Murphy’s has a new dish: Meatballs & Marinara. Get 10 Italian beef meatballs that are ready to reheat in the oven or microwave. They’re topped with marinara and whole-milk mozzarella.

Sweet Cheeks now offers ice cream cakes. Pick from a variety of flavors in stock or special order just what you want.
