4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Crisp & Green has added acai bowls to its lineup. The Imagine Dragon Fruit tops dragon fruit sorbet and acai sorbet with banana, blueberries, toasted coconut and granola. Add more toppings like hemp hearts and vegan marshmallows for an extra charge.

Here’s a sweet-and-savory combination: TapHouse 41 is serving the Midsized Kahuna Burger this month. The usual burger patty is topped with pineapple, ham, cheddar and homemade “aloha” teriyaki sauce. It’s garnished with arugula and red onion. Curious about the drink in the photo? It’s a Pineapple Upside Up made with bourbon, vanilla simple syrup and pineapple juice.

Singling out one of several additions to the menu at DaDa Gastropub wasn’t easy, but you can’t go wrong with fish tacos. The new trio of Halibut Tacos features grilled fish on corn tortillas with pickled veggies, queso fresco and avocado sour cream.

Morrie’s Steakhouse also has a new menu, and it highlights all the local food and beverage partnerships the restaurant uses to source ingredients. The new 100 Layer Lasagna features 100 percent local ingredients, including egg noodles with eggs from Fruit of the Coop and a Mornay sauce made with cheese from Stensland Family Farms. The meat for the pork, buffalo and beef ragu is sourced from farms and ranches near Alcester, Rapid City and Burwell, Nebraska.
