4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

The new Plaza Azteca has so many new things to try, but you really should start with the Fresh Table Side Guacamole. The restaurant on 69th Street west of Louise Avenue has a mobile cart loaded with ingredients, and a server will make it in front of your eyes. It all starts with avocado, and then you can choose what to add: jalapeno, tomato, onion, lime, salt and cilantro.

Wagoo Burger in Fernson Downtown has refreshed the menu, and this item is perfect for the season. Beer Cheese Soup comes in a house-baked bread bowl. The soup is a three-cheese blend simmered in heavy cream and Fernson’s Lion Paw. It’s garnished with smoked cheddar and locally grown micro cilantro.

While hot beef sandwiches are a year-round offering on many South Dakota menus, Bread & Circus Sandwich Kitchen adds one to the menu when it gets cold. This year’s version is house roast beef, mashed potato, grilled red onion, smoked cheddar and horseradish aioli served open-face on Texas toast.

Freddy’s has a new limited-time burger, the French Onion Steakburger. It’s cooked-to-order with two patties topped with Swiss cheese, grilled and crispy onion, bacon and french onion sauce. Want to add other toppings like lettuce and tomatoes? You can do that too.
