4 new things to eat this week

Here’s a new menu item at The Dive that’s a good pick for fair week: The Dive Pop. Brined chicken tenders are coated in waffle batter and fried until golden brown. They’re served with your choice of maple syrup or chipotle honey. Find The Dive in The Gaslight Saloon on West 12th Street.

The August special at Gateway Bar & Grill is the Queso Burger. It’s a bacon cheeseburger smothered in Inca’s queso with jalapenos, shredded lettuce and tortilla chips. It’s served on a pretzel bun and comes with sweet potato waffle fries.

Fazoli’s is celebrating its annual Ravioli Fest through August with several dishes featuring the stuffed pasta pillows. Garlic Chicken is our pick. It features four-cheese stuffed ravioli topped with alfredo sauce and parmesan garlic-roasted chicken that’s baked with mozzarella and parmesan panko breadcrumbs.

Today is National S’Mores Day, but you can enjoy a cookie version of the summertime treat every day at Mary’s Mountain Cookies. The s’mores gourmet cookie is a quarter-pound chocolate chip cookie topped with marshmallows and a graham cracker, all drizzled with more chocolate.
