Hook & Ladder Kitchen & Bar is the latest restaurant to add a weekend brunch menu. It’s available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The crew said it’s starting out with a few items and will add more if it’s popular with diners.

Cascata Italian Cuisine has new daily lunch features.

M.B. Haskett Delicatessen has a new dinner menu.

Crave American Kitchen & Sushi Bar is featuring a limited-time guest appreciation menu. Get a two-course lunch for $19 or a three-course dinner for $39.

Olive Garden’s “buy one, take one” promotion is back for a limited time. Buy an entree from a list of seven options, and get one of three chilled meals to enjoy later. Options for the second entree include fettucine alfredo, five-cheese ziti al forno and spaghetti with meat sauce.

Poppy’s Popcorn Co. has a new flavor: Sweet Smoke BBQ. It’s based off the french fry seasoning used at Uncle Ed’s Specialty Meats. It’s available in bags at both stores.

There’s still time to enjoy the March flavors at Breadsmith.

Big Lost Meadery & Brewery at Lake Lorraine has started canning its beers on-site for to-go sales. “We won’t be doing cans for distribution, just for in-house sales to go,” owner Sam Clikeman said. They’re available as singles in 16-ounce crowlers or four-packs of one kind or mix-and-match.

Invictus Pizza Kitchen is donating a portion of sales Tuesday to help with medical expenses for 8-year-old Leah who was born with a cleft lip and palate. She has had multiple surgeries and has more ahead.

All proceeds from sales Wednesday at Jersey Mike’s Subs will go to support Special Olympics athletes. All month, the shops have been collecting customer donations for the cause.

The Tavern Grill is celebrating National Spinach Day on Thursday, March 26, by offering a free Spinach & Artichoke Dip with the donation of two nonperishable food items. Donations will be given to Feeding South Dakota. The offer is valid for dine-in or takeout but not online orders.

Club David is bringing back Blues Jam Nights with a trial run on Thursdays instead of Sundays. The first one is this week from 7 to 9:30 p.m., with dinner and drinks from 5 p.m. to close. You’ll likely find ribs or another Southern-style entree as the featured menu item. This week’s music will feature Jesse Christen, Daniel Heier, Reuben Rodriguez and Derek Snow. Everyone is invited to bring an instrument and join in.

Here are a few food and drink specials we noticed for March Madness:

  • The Barrel House: On game days, there will be $11 lunch specials and $15 buckets of beer.
  • Cascata Italian Cuisine: Order a pizza and a domestic beer and get a complimentary second beer through April 6.
