4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Geo’s Hamburger Shoppe has taken over the kitchen at The Gaslight Lounge. Owner George Hendrickson brought his food truck from Okoboji to Sioux Falls two years ago and jumped at the opportunity to have a year-round home with the potential to still use the food truck. Start with a cheeseburger and fries, and then explore the rest of the menu. Hendrickson uses a mix of chuck, brisket and short rib for his quarter-pound patties. Optional toppings are pickle, onion, ketchup and mustard. The fries, which are pure potato with no coating, are cooked in beef tallow and seasoned with Geo’s signature flavoring.

Here’s another new kitchen takeover. Find Le Oui Oui in the back of The Hello Hi. It’s a small menu from owner Duy Pham with a couple of pizzas, which you can get by the slice, salads, pasta dishes and desserts. Diners also will find four starters, including fresh oysters. Our pick for your first thing to try is a slice of New York-style cheese pizza.

Grille 26 has a new feature menu for summer, and our pick is the Street Corn Pizza. It’s topped with “Baja” chicken, corn, a house blend of cheese, chile-lime aioli, cilantro and lime.

A seasonal favorite has returned to the menu at Bread & Circus Pizza Kitchen. The Hawaiian Plate features shoyu chicken with house teriyaki sauce, Island Mac Salad, white rice, sesame seeds and green water.
