4 new things to eat this week
We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.
You’ll have to hurry in if you want to try this one. To celebrate fair week, the east-side Bagel Boy has created the colorful Carnival Bagel and Cotton Candy Cream Cheese. The bagel is the regular flavor, and the cream cheese is made with cotton candy and sprinkles. They’re available through Sunday.
Here’s another one with limited availability: Zucchini Parmesan Steaks at Crawford’s Bar & Grill. Giant zucchini are cut into 1-inch-thick rounds, breaded and fried until crispy. They’re topped with mozzarella and finished with pomodoro sauce and fresh basil.
The Smoked Culture BBQ & Brews opened this week at 3400 W. 49th St., and while you might want to try everything, here’s a good place to start. No Comply Nachos were a hit on the food truck, so they made it to the brick-and-mortar menu. Tortilla chips are topped with queso, smoked pulled pork, crema, barbecue sauce, pico de gallo and jalapenos. Add brisket for a little more money.
Here’s a sip for summer. One of the two featured drinks for August at The Breaks Coffee Roasting Co. is Berry Good. The iced drink is made with strawberry milk from Burbach’s Countryside Dairy and espresso with strawberries and basil.
