4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Totally Rad Eats at Fernson Downtown added a weekend brunch menu earlier this month. Our pick is the Honey Butter Fried Chicken Biscuit. Fried chicken tenders are served with pimento cheese, bacon and a runny egg on a housemade biscuit.

North End Bakery & Deli has a featured sandwich for a few weeks, and it’s the shop’s first time making a burger. The Allium Smash Burger has two patties cooked with yellow onions and smoked cheddar, served on a brioche bun made by the bakery and topped with red onion bacon jam, roasted garlic aioli, pickled red onion and arugula. Could the Downtown Burger Battle have another competitor next year?

This menu addition has been around since late August, but we were waiting for the arrival of cooler weather to share it. Railbirds Sports Bar now serves a hot turkey sandwich. The Exacta Turkey Breast Sandwich is served with mashed potatoes and turkey gravy. It’s also available as a half-sandwich at lunch.

Here’s a menu addition that just dropped this week: Autumn Scallops at Crawford’s Bar & Grill. Seared scallops are served with roasted acorn squash, wilted spinach, kale, herbed root vegetable puree and a butter pan sauce.
