4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

The 406 Summer Fare menu is back at MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub. While there are returning favorites, a new item is our pick. Huckleberry Trail Dip is a mix of goat cheese, cream cheese, chorizo and Hatch chiles, topped with huckleberry hot honey, candied walnuts, candied bacon, dried cranberries and green onions. It’s served with pita triangles and is available through August.

The newest feature at Maribella Ristorante is Pollo Milanese. Pan-fried chicken is layered over herb whipped feta and topped with arugula that has been tossed in lemon basil oil. It will be available all summer.

If you’re looking for a burger without all the fanfare of added ingredients, The Bar, which is in Alibi Bar & Grill’s old home at Arrowhead and Six Mile, has added one to the menu. The Hamburger is just that: a seasoned patty served on a toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. Pay a little more to add cheese and bacon. It’s served with fries.

For dessert this summer, TC’s Referee Sports Bar & Grill is serving Mixed Berry Custard Cake. Three tiers of vanilla sponge cake are layered with a mixed berry filling and custard. The cake is topped with a whipped cream and white chocolate shavings.
