4 new things to eat this week

The revamped menu at the rebranded Hook & Ladder Kitchen & Bar — the former Session Ale Works — near 12th Street and Ellis Road features Bang Bang Shrimp Wraps. Beer-battered shrimp is tossed with Bang Bang sauce and served with Asian slaw, crispy wonton strips and green onion in lettuce wraps. They’re served with a sweet chili sauce.

Keeping with the Asian-flavored theme, nibble your way through the new Asian Chicken Salad at Verde Lounge in the Holiday Inn City Centre. It’s filled with cabbage, lettuce, carrot, cucumber, red pepper, cilantro, scallion, grilled chicken and wonton strips with a chili lime and peanut dressing.

Embrace the season of grilled food, and stop by the Jones421 Building to try Dakota Craft Links. Our pick is the new Loukaniko Greek Sausage. The pork sausage is flavored with lemon zest, oregano, garlic and wine. It’s served on a hoagie roll with housemade tzatziki, local arugula and roasted red pepper. While you’re there, check out the bulk sausages to take home and cook.
