4 new things to eat this week

Here’s a new one to eat and drink. The popular bloody mary bar is back at Ode to Food and Drinks. It was suspended five years ago when the pandemic broke out but is back with Ode’s return to serving brunch Saturday and Sunday in its new home at the Country Inn & Suites. There are three housemade bloody mary mixes and more than 40 ingredients for garnishing.

Crawford’s Bar & Grill is celebrating its 14th anniversary through April 17 with featured menu items, gift card giveaways and a 14 percent discount on retail wine. The downtown restaurant has re-created its Friends & Family menu from opening week. The Wild Mushroom Flatbread features a crust with white truffle oil that’s topped with mushrooms, minced garlic and havarti cheese.

The Smoked Culture BBQ & Brews has new menu items. Our pick is Polynesian Surf & Turf. The surf is blackened shrimp, and the turf is pork belly burnt ends that are glazed with teriyaki sauce, jalapeno and pineapple. It’s served on a bed of roasted brussels sprouts.

Big Poppa’s Pizza has started making dessert pizza. It’s a 16-inch crust topped with streusel and a choice of icing, chocolate or caramel drizzle. For an additional charge, add apple, cherry, Snickers or Butterfinger topping. Our pick is the combination of chocolate and cherry.
