4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

The Tavern Grill opened today at 57th and Louise, but we were fortunate to get an invite for a test run on the weekend. We had our pick of the menu, and this was it. Spicy Ginger Seared Tuna features sesame-crusted, wild-caught yellowfin tuna that’s pan-seared rare. It’s served with jasmine rice, spicy sesame sauce and Asian slaw.

Wagoo Burger in Fernson Downtown has several new menu items and a returning favorite or two. Our pick is the new Pub Burger. It’s a bacon-crusted smashburger with smoked cheddar, pickled onions and honey mustard on a pretzel bun with beer cheese for dipping. It comes with a choice of side — and those fries would be our pick too!

The new Dakota Craft Links in the Jones421 Building features Chef Ryan Tracy’s housemade sausages by the pound and in a few sandwiches that will change depending on what sausages Tracy is making. The Bavarian-Style Brat comes on a grilled bun with warm bacon, braised sauerkraut and dark ale mustard. Add fries and a bottled soda for $4.

Tenderloin beef is the star of several new menu items at Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews. The Tenderloin Steak Bites Sandwich features hand-cut beef tenderloin bites topped with melted provolone and onion tanglers on a brioche bun. It’s served with waffle fries.
