4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

This week’s pumpkin pick is the Pumpkin Waffle at La Luna Cafe. It’s made with pumpkin puree and the usual pumpkin pie seasonings. The waffle is topped with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon and is served with maple syrup on the side.

The long-awaited reopening of Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen happened earlier this month. While the restaurant is rolling out its menu in phases, many of the favorites are back, including the Seafood Boil. It includes crab, shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage, jalapenos and seafood garlic butter sauce. The dish is available for lunch and dinner Thursday through Saturday.

R Wine Bar & Kitchen has added a few entrees to the menu. Our pick is Lemon Herb Salmon. A sous vide-cooked salmon filet is topped with lemon herb cream sauce and served with broccolini.

Here’s an elevated, less messy way to enjoy the flavors of s’mores. Parker’s Bistro serves S’mores Cheesecake with layers of graham cracker cookie crust, chocolate cheesecake, housemade marshmallow, chocolate sauce and smoked salt.
