4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Kicking off our Valentine-themed picks is a new snack mix at SoDak Soda that will be available all month. The locally owned gourmet soda shop combined pretzels and cereal with milk chocolate candies and coated everything with white chocolate. 

The east-side Bagel Boy has a heart-shaped bagel that’s available through Valentine’s Day. The Doctor Love Bagel is inspired by red velvet cake with real cocoa and topped with coarse sugar. “It’s not overly sweet like cake but still has a bit of sweetness and flavor of red velvet cake,” operator Andrea Haubert said. The bagel, which was suggested by a customer, comes with cream cheese frosting.

Breadsmith has a new offering that’s available daily throughout February: Raspberry White Chocolate Dessert Bread. Raspberries and white chocolate chips are baked into a vanilla dessert bread, which is topped with a crunchy streusel. 

Slim Chickens has a tradition of making Heart-Shaped Chicken & Waffles in February. The heart-shaped waffle is topped with butter, syrup and hand-breaded chicken tenders. The dish is available until the end of the month or while supplies last.
