4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you.

Roam Kitchen + Bar recently marked its first anniversary in Sioux Falls, so we thought we’d include one of its signature items: the sausages. Pictured: Chicken & Beer with jalapeno mustard; Merguez with red pepper jelly; and Smoked Hot Link with chipotle ketchup.

Slim Chickens has lots of new additions to the menu. There are four new chicken sandwiches: crispy chicken, cayenne ranch, chicken club and buffalo ranch.

And here’s the best part: you can get a milkshake now! They’re hand-spun and come in four flavors: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry or Oreo.

Want a great food recommendation? Ask a chef! Ellen Doerr is a big fan of this: the dill pickle pizza at Dareo’s Pizza Casino. “The pizza is the perfect blend of creamy sauce and cheese and crunch and saltiness from the pickle brought together by a chewy crust. Addicting,” she told us.

And don’t miss the new edible cookie dough at Sub Zero Desserts. Choose from birthday cake, chocolate chunk, Reese’s and brownie with Hershey’s Mini Kisses. They’re also stocked in the freezer with other Sub Zero treats at Chef Ellen.
