4 new things to eat this week
We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know whatâs in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.
This restaurant just opened Monday and is sure to be a favorite with everyone who misses PizzaRev — and it’s in the same location at 3901 W. 49th St. The new locally owned Invictus Pizza Kitchen features create-your-own options, but there are a half-dozen signature pizzas for those days when you can’t even decide which socks to wear. The Duchess is a traditional crust with a fresh rosemary and green onion cream cheese spread, mozzarella cheese blend, pork belly, red onions and hot honey glaze.
At the new Thai10, you’ll find lots of Thai cuisine served in an express-style format, including red, green and yellow curries. Our pick is the red curry. Chicken, bell pepper, onion, mushroom and basil are simmered in the “moderately spicy” red curry sauce, which includes coconut milk. It’s served with steamed rice. The restaurant is in the former Subway at 1229 N. Minnesota Ave.
Here’s another pizza that looks delicious. The featured pizza for December at Monks Ale House is the BLT. It starts with a ranch base on the crust, and it’s topped with applewood-smoked bacon, romaine, tomato and your choice of ranch or spicy ranch.
The long-awaited La Michoakanita aims to satisfy cravings for sweet or salty snacks. The shop from the owners of Giliberto’s Mexican Taco Shop features frozen treats and Mexican street food snacks. The Mexican Chocolate Milkshake features vanilla ice cream made on-site that’s blended with milk. The next step is the addition of creamy Mexican chocolate, and then it’s topped with whipped cream and sprinkles, and garnished with a dipped churro and chocolate-covered cookie. La Michoakanita is in the original space for Giliberto’s at 712 S. Minnesota Ave.
