Celebrating its fifth anniversary, R Wine Bar & Kitchen has added four items to the menu. Our pick is Pasta Amore. Garlic, shallots and local mushrooms are sauteed and combined with fresh diced tomatoes and toasted pine nuts in a pecorino cream sauce. Gluten-free pasta is available, and diners can choose to add marinated chicken, meatballs, shrimp or steak to the dish.

Chocolate lovers might enjoy this healthier way to get their fix. Smoothie King has a new Acai Cocoa Haze bowl. The acai base is topped with strawberries, bananas, granola, sweetened cocoa nibs and a chocolate hazelnut drizzle.

The bakery at Look’s Marketplace has a new seasonal cake that’s available into December, according to the Bakehouse crew. The Citrus Squash Cake is made with kuri squash and covered in a citrus vanilla glaze. It’s topped with butternut squash jam, Valrhona chocolate whip and pumpkin seed oat crumble.

Mary’s Mountain Cookies offers more than its mountain-sized 5-ounce cookies. The latest seasonal offering is candy apples. Caramel ones are available too. Both versions use tart Granny Smith apples. The shop expects to have them for a few more weeks, possibly up until Thanksgiving.
