4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

How could we not share the namesake of the new food truck Lumpia on Wheelz as our pick? Customers can get the original version of the Filipino lumpia, or egg roll, which is filled with ground pork, celery, bell pepper, potato, onion, garlic and seasons, or the Loaded Lumpia. Those are topped with sour cream, nacho cheese sauce, green onion, jalapeno and chopped candied bacon. This weekend the food truck will be in the Royzzz parking lot at 2520 S. Louise Ave. from 4:3o to 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Find other pop-up locations on Facebook or Street Food Finder.

The new Samurai Hibachi & Sushi Express in Harrisburg features a deep-fried sushi roll called Tiger Roll. It has rice, cooked salmon, cucumber and cream cheese that’s rolled, fried and then topped with eel and garlic sauces and sesame seeds.

Chef Ryan Tracy, the owner of Dakota Craft Links in the Jones421 Building, is always experimenting with ingredients for his sausages. Korean BBQ Spiced Sausage features the red chile paste gochujang and red chile powder gochugaru. It’s served on a bun with Asian-pickled veggies and Korean barbecue sauce. The sausage will be available for about 10 days.

The new dinner menu at M.B. Haskett Delicatessen highlights seasonal produce in the Za’atar Chicken entree. The Middle Eastern/Mediterranean-inspired dish features grilled za’atar-marinated chicken with tabbouleh, summer squash, muhammara and baba ghanoush.
