Washington Pavilion announces next season’s Broadway shows

Classic favorites and current blockbuster musicals are coming to Sioux Falls.

The Washington Pavilion announced its 2022-23 Pavilion Performance Series, which includes eight performances of the new blockbuster and Tony award-winning musical “Dear Evan Hansen.”

The show will serve as the season’s finale in April 2023.

Before that, though, “The Book of Mormon” returns to Sioux Falls for five performances in October.

Newer Broadway hit “Legally Blonde — The Musical” will take the stage in November.

“On Your Feet!” the inspirational story and music of Gloria Estefan, will come to the Pavilion in January 2023.

“Tootsie,” a new musical for a familiar show, will be here in February 2023, and three performance of the classic “My Fair Lady” will be coming in March 2023.

The remainder of the 2022-23 performance season continues to be programmed, with additional shows to be announced.

“We’re so excited about next season’s lineup. There really is something for everyone,” said Regina Ruhberg, director of performances and events.

“It’s just such a fantastic roster, and we’re thrilled to bring all these shows to Sioux Falls.”
