Tuesdays 4 Teachers: With your help, we can do more for our teachers!

Throughout November, Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools comes together as a community to support the incredible teachers who shape the lives of students, providing them with both knowledge and faith in ways that will nourish them for years to come.

In the Tuesdays 4 Teachers campaign, all funds raised go to benefit key teacher and staff salary endowments and initiatives. Providing competitive compensation to teachers and staff allows Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools to recruit and retain world-class educators.

Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools students, from elementary to high school, often share the impact teachers have had on their lives.

“The teachers here set you up for success,” said Bricelyn Barch, a senior at O’Gorman High School.

“They actually care about how you do and where you’re going with life.”

Barch has found guidance in both academics and faith. To her, the teachers are role models who go beyond academics, offering advice on college courses and encouraging involvement in activities, especially those that deepen her faith.

For Sullivan Schlimgen, also a senior, the teachers are special because they “genuinely care about each and every student,” he said, adding that the environment allows teachers to interact with students on a more personal level, fostering a sense of community and support.

Parents also feel the positive influence of the Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools teachers.

Brittany Engstrom, mother of a second grader, speaks of how teachers have become “an extended part of our family.” Her daughter, who once aspired to be a nurse, now dreams of becoming a teacher herself, inspired by the kindness and dedication of her educators. Engstrom notes that the teachers provide extra tutoring, keep her updated and go the extra mile to make her daughter feel supported.
