May 4: Star Wars marathon
To celebrate May the Fourth Be With You, Wileys is having a Star Wars marathon watch party from open to close Thursday. Movies will be shown on the giant screen with audio through the main bar at 330 N. Main Ave.

May 4: Knit Night
Thursdays are Knit Night at Prairie Road Yarn, 3101 W. 41st St. From 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, you’re invited to bring your latest project and visit with others who love fiber.

May 5: Cinco de Mama
Hollywood Style Sioux Falls, 3301 E. 26th St., will host Cinco de Mama, a unique girls-night-out event with a Cinco De Mayo/Mother’s Day flair from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. This event will have raffle items, retail deals, service specials and margaritas for those of legal drinking age. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased on the Hollywood Style website.

May 5: Art and Wine Walk
The May Art and Wine Walk will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. You can sip wine and check out work from local artists at more than 30 downtown locations. Meeting local artists and viewing their work is free. See the list of artists and locations here. A wine sampling punch card is $25, or wine by the glass is $5. You also can attend the Washington Pavilion’s opening reception of the new Visual Arts Center exhibit, “Subconscious Passages,” and the closing reception for “Waiting for the Muse: A Carl Grupp Retrospective.”

May 5: Art for Garfield
Van Art Studios is selling special art created by kids to benefit kids. Stop by 120 N. Phillips Ave. from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Proceeds from all art sold will go to Garfield Elementary.

May 6: Costume Jewelry Swap
Tired of the necklaces, bracelets and pins in your jewelry box? Then you’ll want to attend a Costume Jewelry Swap from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Brandon Community Library meeting room, 305 S. Splitrock Blvd. Any item you bring must be in good condition. It’s free to attend.

May 9: Food Truck Tuesdays
Food Truck Tuesday at Golf Addiction, 5301 W. 57th St., will include live local music, local food, a free bounce house for children and beer for adults. The free events run from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays all summer long. The opening event include live music from Weston Frank and a food truck lineup that includes Hunny & Bunny, Breaking Burrito, Ollies and the SDSU ice cream truck.
