Oct. 27: Movie Night
Prairie C Dessert Bar is hosting its first Halloween movie night with a showing of “Kiki’s Delivery Service.” The event starts at 7 p.m. Thursday at Prairie C, 401 E. Eighth St. The Japanese anime film is the story of a teenage witch in training. Tickets are $15 in advance and include a beverage and dessert, along with a cookie to take home. Call 605-777-3445 to reserve a spot. If seats remain, tickets will be $20 at the door.

Oct. 28-30: ZooBoo
Trick-or-treat with lots of new additions at this year’s ZooBoo
Oct. 28: Halloween Rap Karaoke
PAve hosts its popular annual event beginning at 9 p.m. Friday at 130 S. Phillips. You’re the rap star, DJ Absolute is your DJ, and Wes Eisenhauer is your hype man. It’s free, but if you’d like to perform a song, email [email protected].

Oct: 29: Defrightful Family Fun
Get an early start on your celebration by dressing in your favorite costume for a morning of family fun at Kuehn Community Center, 2801 S. Valley View Road, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Let your ghouls and goblins participate in not-so-spooky games, win prizes, and much more. This event is free, open to all ages, with no registration required.

Oct. 29: Trick or Treat Trail Run
The 14th annual Trick or Treat Trail Run will at 10 a.m. Saturday The trail run will include a 5K run/walk, 10K run and 15K run. All events will take place at Pasley Park, 2521 S. Southeastern Ave. on the bike path along the scenic Big Sioux River. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome. There also will be a half-mile Candy Dash for runners and walkers age 3 to 10. Each finisher receives a goodie bag and event shirt. Click here to learn more.

Oct 29-30: Halloween Hootenanny
The 605 Magic Art Bus, filled with spooky tunes and awesome lights, will be parked at the Bagel Boy on East 26th Street from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 and includes face painting, cool crafts and a coffee or hot cocoa from Bagel Boy. Those arriving in costume can pick a prize from the prize box.

Oct. 29: Sioux Falls Zombie Walk
The popular annual event starts at Remedy Brewing Co., 401 E. Eighth St. Sioux Falls Roller Dollz will host the event with make-up from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Remedy. The parade starts at 3 p.m. It’s a $5 button to walk. Prizes will be awarded in several photo categories. This year’s chosen charity is B-Squad Dog Rescue.

Oct. 30: Downtown Trick-or-Treat
Get ready for Halloween by heading downtown in costume from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. There are 35 participating downtown businesses that will be handing out treats, and there’s no need to register. Click here for information on locations.
