June 24: Harry Potter trivia

Harry Potter fans, Severance Brewing Co. is calling your name. From 7 to 9 p.m., show your trivia wizardry around all things Harry Potter. It’s open to the first 12 teams and fills up fast, so get there early.

June 24: Full moon hike

Come out and see Great Bear Recreation Park under the full “strawberry moon’s” glow! Hike from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Participants must be able to hike 1 mile on uneven terrain. Please wear sturdy shoes. Registration required. Click here to learn more.

June 25: Magic day camp

Here’s a different way to spend the evening! Spellbound Magic Shop invites kids age 8-13 to a magic day camp from 5 to 7 p.m. to learn tricks from professional magician Travis Nye. Pizza, beverages and magic props are provided. Click here to learn more.

June 26: Outdoor flea market

605 Antiques will hold an outdoor flea market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 3201 S. Shirley Ave.

June 26: Zippity Zoo Day

Bounce houses, obstacle courses and games will be on their way to the Great Plains Zoo starting at 9 a.m., along with all the animal attractions at this special event. There also will be zookeeper chats throughout the day, opportunities to feed the giraffes and interact at various exhibits throughout the day. Click here for information and tickets.

June 26 and 27: South Dakota Peach Festival

It’s two days of activities, music, vendors and, of course, peaches. The South Dakota Peach Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 26 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 27 at 3601 S. Minnesota Ave., the former VFW, featuring peaches from Georgia orchards, inflatables and other activities for kids, and other food and vendors.

June 29: Kids’ Art Show

Are your kids creative? Do they like to paint, draw, work with wood, make bracelets or any kind of crafty treasure? Here is a premier opportunity for local artisans 17 and younger to display or sell their creations at McKennan Park from 6 to 8 p.m. No edible items may be sold. Registration is required.
