June 17: Party in a Parking Lot

June 17: Pride Family Bingo

All ages are welcome for a night of books, beverages and bingo at the Full Circle Book Co-op — kids included! Bingo cards are $1, and dabbers also will be available for purchase — prices vary.  Get a blackout, and you have a chance to win the grand prize donated by Full Circle, with a drawing at 9 p.m.

 

June 18: Dash for Donuts with Dad

Start Father’s Day weekend with a kids’ fun run at Morningside Park from 10 to 11 a.m. It includes one lap around the park for a half-mile or two laps around for a full mile. After passing the finish line, dine on a doughnut with your dad. Registration is required.

June 18: Neon Daydreams Art Show

The Backartigans group is back with another backyard art show beginning at 7 p.m.. This one is at 1801 S. Walts Ave. and hosted by Sunny’s Pizzeria. Pizza and beer from Obscure Brewing Co. will be available for purchase. No outside food or drinks will be allowed. It’s free and open to all ages.

June 19: Juneteenth Sioux Falls

Head to Terrace Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate the day that all Americans became free. This all-inclusive event includes bouncy houses, food trucks, live music and more.

June 19: Downtown Loft Tour

Have you dreamed of downtown living? During this self-guided tour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can get an insider’s view of vacant and occupied lofts not otherwise available for public viewing. Buy passes at The Cascade at Falls Park, 701 N. Phillips Ave., from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. They’re $5, and kids 12 and younger are free. New this year: Catch a ride from place to place on the trolley for free with your loft tour sticker.

June 18: The Sun Pour

This needs to be on your list of unique things to do: Welcome summer with a fiery, hot outdoor iron pour at BronzeAge Art Casting. Hot iron starts flowing at 8 p.m. and ends with spectacular pours as night falls. Bring a lawn chair to the free event by Falls Park, and from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., design a mold for an iron tile, later filled with hot iron right before your eyes.

Allow 45 to 90 minutes for the outdoor workshop, which is $35 to $39 per tile. SDSU Ice Cream and Watecha Bowl food trucks will be there too. Click here for the event on Facebook.

June 20: Sioux Falls Salutes the Sun

The city of Sioux Falls and Sanford Health are celebrating the summer solstice and International Day of Yoga at Great Bear Recreation Park starting at 7:30 p.m. and finishing as the sun sets. Click here to learn more.
